San Jose native Jazmyn Jackson is a co-founder and co-owner of VIA in Oakland, CA, a professional softball player with Athletes Unlimited and a Team USA medalist. She also played DI Collegiate softball at the University of California, Berkeley (Cal) where she hold the record for the third-most hits of all time and third-highest batting average of all time.
As a Team USA member from 2016-2019, Jackson was a 2016 WBSC Women’s World Championship Gold Medalist and received Team USA’s MVP of the tournament, hitting .591 throughout the duration of play.
Jackson has played professional softball around the world and continues to play in America’s premier professional softball league, Athletes Unlimited, where she hit the first grand slam in its history in the inaugural 2020 season.

Jackson coached DI collegiate softball, serving as the assistant coach at Howard University in Washington, D.C. in 2019, boosting the team to their first MEAC tournament win in over 8 years and watching her players set MEAC single-season offensive records as the team’s lead hitting coach.
Jackson received her B.S. at Cal in Business Administration at the prestigious Berkeley Haas School of Business. Mentioned previously, she is a co-owner at VIA, an organization devoted to empowering girls to trust in themselves and create a life they love from lessons learned through the power of sports. She enjoys reading, dancing, traveling the world, serving in her community, and spending time with her friends and family.
Jackson is a proud member of the Oakland community and finds joy in collaborating with local organizations like Chapter 510 and Ella Baker Center for Human Rights and coaching the next generation of softball players to be the best they can be on and off the field.

The California Commotion announced today the signing of outfielder, Jazmyn Jackson. Jackson becomes the first official player for the Commotion, who were added to the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) League in 2019 and will participate in their first professional competitive season in 2020.
